    • As a solo author, I published peer-reviewed international conference-paper on 'aero-thermodynamic analysis of space shuttle vehicle at re-entry' features a new, low-cost and approximate methodology for surface temperature calculations of space shuttles at re-entry, which has applications to future projects on space-based solar power systems, and I received Leon A. Tolve fellowship for this research from Georgia Institute of Technology.

  26. Nominated for State-level research award (Maharashtra State, India) in academic year, 2011 – 2012.

    • During the final year of my under-graduate (UG) studies, I worked on a project titled ‘solar refrigeration’ for providing cold storage to remote areas that are power deficient thereby making conventional refrigeration methods redundant. I represented my UG college at a national level conference for students to present this research, and won the competition. I presented a paper based on this project at an International conference where my thermal designs were applauded by the session’s jury members, and later published it as a journal article. This project was presented at 2 state-level project presentation competitions, and I was also nominated for the ‘best research award’ in Maharashtra state, India.
       

  27. Position of the President of the Renewable Energy Club, KJSCE, 2011-2012.

    • I worked as the President of the Renewable Energy Club for 1 year. As the President of the Renewable Energy Club at my UG college, I organized technical events and seminars to create awareness about the present global energy and environmental situation. My active participation in the college’s events helped me to enhance my leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
       

  28. 3rd best project award, KJSCE, 2012.

    • My under-graduate project on solar refrigeration won this award during Mechanical Engineering day at K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, University of Mumbai.
       

  29. Shortlisted and participated in a state-level scientific research award 'Marathi Vigyan Parishad: Vigyan Sanshodhan Puraskar 2011', 2011-2012.

    • We presented our working model of solar parabolic collector at this state-level scientific research award/research competition/exhibition.
       

  30. Best paper award/Winner of paper presentation competition organized by Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, 2012.

    • I represented my college KJSCE at a national level conference for students to present this research, and won the competition/was awarded the best paper award.
